Puppy Contracts

This is an example of the puppy contract that we use. If there is a something that you would like specifically stated, or a concern that you would like to add to the contract, we will be more than happy to edit the contract WITH IN REASON.

 

This contract is entered into at _______am/ pm on _______________________, 2008, by and between Alexis Merritt (herewith referred to as Seller) and __________________________________________, (herewith referred to as Purchaser).

Puppy is AKC Registered. Papers will be given at the time of final payment with FULL/ LIMITED registration privileges.

1) This pup/dog is guaranteed for a period of three business days from the time of purchase (arrival) if vet checked within that time frame. If the pup is found to medically deficient with an untreatable or life threatening problem, it must be reported to the Seller immediately. The pup can then be returned to the Seller and a full refund or exchange will be given.

2) Seller agrees to guarantee this pup for one year against genetic life threatening defects which prohibits the pup from functioning as a normal pet. Should two licensed veterinarians diagnose a life threatening genetic defect/ heart disease during the one year period, a letter from each of the veterinarians on the veterinarians’ letterhead is to be presented to the Seller. The pup is to then be returned to the Seller at the Purchasers expense and the Seller will provide a replacement of equal or lesser value. Seller will only replace a pup once. If an exchange is made no money will be refunded.

3) The pup cannot be returned after the one year guarantee has expired and/ or if it has been exposed to another animal which has not been currently inoculated for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies.

4) This warranty is in liew of all other warrantees expressed or implied, warranty of merchantability and constitutes our sole and exclusive liability in respect to any dog purchased from us. This contract contains a waiver relinquishing your right to return the dog or receive compensation for the following: hip dysphasia, undescended testical, patellar luxation, skin allergies, undershot or overshot bite, eye disorders (such as everted third eyelid, entropies, haw eye, blepharospasm, and lagophthalmas), Parvo virus, corona virus, distemper, rabies, cocidiosis, giardiasis, kennel cough, tick and flea infestation, and worms (round, pin, flat, tape, and heart.) Furthermore, Seller cannot be held liable for any expense incurred by the Purchaser for any reason.

5) It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to provide immediate veterinary care to any dog/ pup showing signs of illness or distress and failure to do so will render any guarantee null and void. Seller assumes no responsibility for any expense incurred by the Purchaser.

6) This pup is not allowed to be bought for resale or experiments and not to be released to any animal shelter or animal rescue with out notifying the Seller first.

DOG/PUP SHOULD NOT BE KEPT ON A CHAIN. IF THE DOG IS FOUND TO BE KEPT ON A CHAIN, THE SELLER HOLDS THE RIGHT TO CONFISCATE THE DOG.

RECOMMEDED FOOD FOR TWO YEARS:

LARGE BREED PUPPY FOOD

ADULT FOOD 24 PERCENT PROTIEN, NO LOWER THAN 18 PERCENT.

GLUCOSAMINE FOR JOINTS IS GREAT. ASK YOUR VET.
